Our menu offers both regional Algarvean cuisine and international choices.

For starters we offer:  Vaults special calamari with tartar sauce, a delicious goat cheese salad, a homemade paté and more.

Main courses include Canadian style burgers, chicken kebabs, pork, lamb, steak and always a fresh fish option.

Concerned about gluten?  All our main courses are gluten free. 

Value conscious?  So are we, which is why we offer lunch specials that include 2 courses and a drink for just €9.00.

Our well-loved English-style Sunday Carvery, long considered the best in the Algarve is on Sunday and has two sittings, afternoon and evening.

We offer a choice of roast beef, roast pork or roast lamb, (chicken or salmon  upon request for those who prefer lighter fare), with all the traditional trimmings.

Vegetarian options are available if you call ahead.

Our staff speaks English, Portuguese, French and Ukranian and we are happy to serve you in the language of your choice.  We look forward to your visit.  

Executive Chef Marco Aleixo heads our kitchen team at Vaults.  He is a certified chef from the Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo de Faro and  has over 15 years kitchen experience in the Algarve.

Chef Marco specializes in regional Algarvean cuisine,  using high quality fresh ingredients combined with expert technique to bring out intense natural flavours in his dishes, creating memorable meals.

Chef Marco is co-founder of the Algarve Cuisine Academy, which offers cooking demonstrations and lessons to the public.

He has taught culinary arts at the Escola de Hotelaria e turismo de Faro and performs show cooking and special events for Makro (a national food wholesaler) including the recent "cavala algarvia", the horse mackerel project.

He is also responsible for producing the annual culinary guide to the Algarve since 2001, 'Guia Gastronomico do Algarve". 

He has been a member of the travel and tourism organization Skål International since 1986.

Marco´s mission as a chef is to publicise and champion regional Algarvean cusine. "Our cuisine is a real and concrete expression of Algarvean culture. It is in the combination of ingredients that we find the value of regional cuisine. These special combinations of simple ingredients lie at the core of what is Algarvean. The significance of the ingredients derives not simply from their taste but from the ethnic value they hold within our specific community. Regional cuisine is not composed of a strict list of ingredients and instructions but is formed and performed by cultural, ethnic and familial attachment to a specifically recognizable dish and forms a distinct part of the Algarvean identity.
